Palram – Canopia 10x18 Feria Patio Cover Kit - Gray (HG9418)

Easy assembly and beautiful. Much nicer than a dark tin roof.

I was going to build my own gable roof patio cover because I didn't want to feel like I was in an enclosed space. I was also going to use poly panels to allow some light to get in. I did research for a long time and stumbled upon the Palram Feria cover kit. It was half the cost of the materials I would have purchased to build my own patio cover and it saved me from having to go through the local permit process. It also saved me a LOT of time. I was able to install it by myself after work over the course of a few days. It is completely water proof and the posts are spaced a bit wider than 8 feet apart (you can adjust them in and out), so I was able to hang 8 foot roll down shades to block the sun and give us some privacy. The best thing about this patio cover is the mounting versatility. I purchased three 11x11x24" tall planters from Amazon and filled them 3/4 with concrete, then secured the posts to the concrete using the masonry anchors and bolts that were provided. By raising up the patio cover by 18", it hardly feels like there's a roof over your head...exactly what I was looking for. Added some LED string lights and a small propane fire table, and it's an awesome setup. On the back patio, it was always too hot in the summer when the sun was beating down on us and we certainly didn't sit out there in the rain. We've now used the patio more in the past two weeks since the cover has been installed than we've used it in the 6 months prior. Extremely happy with the purchase. It seems very well made so I expect that our family will enjoy it for many years to come. Do yourself a favor and buy one when they're back in stock. You'll thank me later.
